This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Foodsaurus ("Application") for mobile devices that was created by VGML Ltd. The Application is a list of categories, food ingredients and translations. Users are able to search and filter ingredients as well as view information about them.
The application records usage of the app and records this in an anonymised way with Google Analytics. It records which translations you use, which ingredients you click on and what you search for. This data is anonymised and will not be tied to any personal details about you. We do not have access to any personal information. The Application checks internet connection and internet state at regular intervals to allow us to download new ingredients and languages.
You are not required to register to use the Application.
If a user emails us with ingredient clarification or questions, their email address will remain on our records. We will not use it for marketing, but we may contact the user to clarify their issue or ask follow up questions. The user can opt out of this at any time.
The Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services ("Google Analytics") to help us improve the Application and our service. We will not share your information with any other third parties.
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
We will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. We are not able to delete this data as it is managed through a third party ("Google Analytics")
Our Application is suitable for all but not targeted specifically at children. We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and informing you via the Application. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing" means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United States privacy standards.
